Service Description

What is the CREST award scheme? CREST is a scheme that inspires young people to think and behave like scientists and engineers. CREST Star and SuperStar awards are aimed at primary school students aged 5-to-11 years. Students solve eight one-hour science, technology, engineering, and maths challenges through practical investigation. Once they complete eight of the challenges, they can receive a CREST Star or SuperStar certificate and sew on badge as well! How will completing the CREST award benefit my child? CREST helps young people become independent and reflective learners through enquiry-based project work. Every year, 35,000 young people start or continue their journey to becoming the next generation of scientists, technologists and engineers through the British Science Association's CREST Awards programme. With the UK facing a science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills shortage, we believe CREST is an essential route for young people into STEM careers.
